Junior Eyewear Designer – Color CAD & Materials

Job summary

CTC in New York is seeking a Junior Designer to support Coach, MK, RLG and Tory brands, collaborating with lead designers and NA product strategy teams to deliver collection work.

You will generate detailed color CAD renderings for eyewear color reviews, assist in conceptualizing color and material direction, and research markets to identify trends while maintaining brand identity. You’ll learn eyewear constraints and contribute to sketches on cross-brand projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Design from an accredited college or university is required.
• Minimum 6 months of design experience in eyewear or accessories, including intern or temp work.
• Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator; knowledge of other Adobe programs a plus.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
• Experience with 3D design software is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Proficiency in generating fully detailed color CAD renderings for color review of eyewear collections.
• Assist NA lead designers & strategy teams in conceptualizing color and material direction.
• Research domestic and competitive markets to identify new products and market trends.
• Support explorative development of materials and techniques with cross-border teams.
• Become proficient in technical limitations and specifications of eyewear through on-the-job training.
• Opportunity to assist brands in collection sketch development and special design projects.
