Job summary

Globalchannelmanagement seeks a Junior Eyewear Designer in New York, partnering with NA/Italy teams to define color and material directions for eyewear collections. You will research markets, support development of materials and techniques, and gain proficiency in the technical specs and CAD renderings required by licensors, while collaborating on brand strategy and collection sketches.

Ideal candidates have at least 6 months eyewear or accessories design experience, proficiency in Illustrator,

Qualifications

Minimum 6 months of design experience in Eyewear or Accessories; including intern or temp work
Proficient in Adobe Illustrator; other Adobe programs a plus
Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint
Experience with 3D Design Software a plus
Bachelor's degree of Design from accredited college or university required.
Proficiency in generating fully detailed color CAD renderings for color review of eyewear collections based on licensor specifications

Responsibilities

Assist N.A. lead designers & strategy teams in conceptualizing color and material direction for collections.
Researches domestic and competitive markets to identify new products and market trends while maintaining brand identity and business strategy.
Support explorative development of materials and techniques in collaboration with lead designer, product strategy and Italy teams.
Through on-the-job training with N.A. and Italy teams, become proficient in technical limitations and specifications of eyewear.
