Jobot is seeking a Junior Estimator to join our mid-size GC team on healthcare construction projects up to $20M across Florida and the Southeast. The role focuses on preparing detailed cost estimates, collaborating with engineers and architects, and contributing to bid proposals.

Responsibilities

1. Preparing detailed cost estimates for healthcare construction projects, including materials, labor, equipment, and other related costs.
2. Collaborating with project managers, engineers, and architects to understand project requirements and develop accurate cost estimates.
3. Reviewing design documents to identify potential cost implications and suggest cost-saving alternatives.
4. Participating in bid proposal meetings, providing insight into cost estimates and potential project risks.
5. Conducting post-project reviews to evaluate cost accuracy and identify areas for improvement in future estimates.
6. Keeping abreast of industry trends and advancements in healthcare construction to ensure estimates are up-to-date and competitive.

Qualifications

1. A minimum of 2 years of experience in the construction industry, preferably in healthcare construction.
2. Demonstrated experience in preparing detailed cost estimates for construction projects.
3. Strong understanding of construction processes, materials, and labor costs.
4. Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex technical documents.
5. Strong communication skills with the ability to clearly explain cost estimates to stakeholders.
6. Proficiency in using estimating software and other relevant technological tools.
7. A degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
