Michael Page is seeking a Junior Estimator for a well‑established commercial construction firm. You will prepare detailed quantity takeoffs and cost estimates from drawings, analyze bid documents, and solicit subcontractor pricing to develop competitive bids.

The role supports preconstruction efforts, collaborates with project teams, and stays current on costs and materials, with growth into senior estimating roles.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred.
• 3+ years of estimating experience within commercial construction.

Responsibilities

Junior Estimator

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed quantity takeoffs and cost estimates from drawings and specifications.
• Analyze plans, bid documents, and project requirements.

A successful Junior Estimator will have:

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred.
• 3+ years of estimating experience within commercial construction.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
• Experience estimating projects ranging from $1M to $50M+.
• Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and building systems.
• Proficiency with estimating software, Bluebeam, On-Screen Takeoff, Procore, Microsoft Excel, or similar platforms.
• Experience reviewing subcontractor proposals and performing bid comparisons.
• Strong mathematical, analytical, and organizational skills.
• Excellent communication and presentation abilities.
