Job summary

Needham & Company, a full service investment bank in San Francisco, seeks an Institutional Junior Equity Sales Associate. You will work with senior sales staff to learn the equity research sales business, covering backup, prospecting accounts, organizing meetings, and planning events.

The role aims to develop your own client list and relationships over time. Ideal candidates have 0-2 years in financial services and/or a related undergraduate degree.

Qualifications

• 0-2 years of experience in the financial services industry.
• Undergraduate degree in a related field.
• Possession of the SIE, Series 7 and/or 63 is a plus, or willingness to complete in a timely manner.

Responsibilities

• Provide coverage backup for the Institutional Equity Sales team.
• Prospect new accounts and organize client meetings.
• Coordinate marketing meetings and analysts calls, and plan client meals/events.
• Support sales professionals and gradually build own account list and relationships.

Needham & Company, a full service investment bank, has a position available for an Institutional Junior Equity Sales Associate in its San Francisco office. Great opportunity working with senior members of the sales force to learn the equity research sales business by managing a diverse number of responsibilities including but not limited to providing coverage backup, prospecting new accounts, organizing marketing meetings and analysts calls, logistical planning of client lunches/dinners/events, and general support to the sales professionals located in that office. Eventually, this position should allow for the individual to build their own account list and develop their own relationships. Ideal for someone who is motivated and wants to gain valuable hands-on experience!

The ideal entry-level candidate will have 0-2 years of experience in the financial services industry and/or possess an undergraduate degree in a related major. Possession of the SIE, series 7 and/or 63 is a plus, or willingness to complete in a timely manner.

The good-faith expected salary range for the above position is $100,000- $120,000 depending on factors including but not limited to the candidate’s experience, skills, license registration status; market conditions; and business needs. This salary range does not include other elements of total compensation, including a discretionary bonus and benefits such as a 401(k) program with company-matching contributions; health, dental, vision, life and disability insurance, flexible spending, commuter; and paid time-off plan.
