Job summary

SpecPro Sustainment and Environmental, LLC (SSE) seeks an Environmental Specialist (Entry-Level) to support the 647 Civil Engineering Squadron at Joint Base Pearl Harbor-Hickam, Hawaii. The role focuses on environmental compliance, conservation programs, records transfer, project planning, inspections, field support, data management, and documentation.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of environmental compliance, natural resources, environmental science, or related technical disciplines.
• Ability to collect, organize, analyze, and document environmental data and records.
• Ability to support field inspections, technical documentation, and coordination with multidisciplinary stakeholders.
• Must be able to successfully complete Tier 1 background investigation and obtain/maintain a CAC.

Responsibilities

• Assist with environmental program management, compliance assessments, conservation activities, and identification of mitigation or abatement needs.
• Support transfer, organization, review, and maintenance of environmental records from Navy systems to Air Force repositories, SharePoint, and NexGen IT or equivalent databases.
• Assist in developing or reviewing environmental project plans, studies, specifications, cost estimates, mitigation actions, and facility-project documentation.
• Support environmental inspections, field activities, sampling, observation, and corrective-action tracking involving water, soil, asbestos, lead-based paint, wildlife, and other compliance areas.
• Assist with permit applications, regulatory correspondence, inspection support, and documentation addressing findings or corrective actions.
• Collect and analyze environmental data and prepare reports, presentations, visual products, meeting materials, and organized program files.
