Job summary

SpecPro Sustainment and Environmental, LLC (SSE) is seeking an Environmental Specialist (Entry-Level) to support the 647 Civil Engineering Squadron at Joint Base Pearl Harbor-Hickam, Hawaii. The role focuses on environmental compliance, data management, and documentation to support installation environmental requirements.

Responsibilities include assisting with program management, inspections, and coordination with stakeholders, while ensuring proper records transition and regulatory

Qualifications

• Knowledge of environmental compliance, natural resources, and related disciplines.
• Ability to collect, organize, analyze, and document environmental data and records.
• Ability to support field inspections, technical documentation, and coordination with multidisciplinary stakeholders.
• Must complete Tier 1 background investigation and obtain CAC.

• Support transfer and organization of environmental records from Navy systems to Air Force repositories and databases.
• Assist in developing or reviewing environmental project plans, studies, specifications, and cost estimates.

• Assist with permit applications, regulatory correspondence, inspection support, and documentation of findings or actions.
• Collect and analyze environmental data and prepare reports, presentations, and program files.

SpecPro Sustainment and Environmental, LLC (SSE) is a government contracting and consulting firm supporting military installations and federal agencies across the nation. SSE is seeking an Environmental Specialist (Entry‑Level) to support our ongoing mission with the 647 Civil Engineering Squadron (CES) at Joint Base Pearl Harbor‑Hickam, Hawaii.

This position will assist with environmental compliance and conservation programs, environmental records transition, project planning, inspections, field support, data management, and technical documentation. The Environmental Specialist will work with Civil Engineering personnel, program managers, regulators, mission partners, and other stakeholders to support installation environmental requirements.

What You’ll Do:

• Assist with environmental program management, compliance assessments, conservation activities, and identification of mitigation or abatement needs.
• Support transfer, organization, review, and maintenance of environmental records from Navy systems to Air Force repositories, SharePoint, and NexGen IT or equivalent databases.
• Assist in developing or reviewing environmental project plans, studies, specifications, cost estimates, mitigation actions, and facility‑project documentation.
• Support environmental inspections, field activities, sampling, observation, and corrective‑action tracking involving water, soil, asbestos, lead‑based paint, wildlife, and other compliance areas.
• Assist with permit applications, regulatory correspondence, inspection support, and documentation addressing findings or corrective actions.
• Collect and analyze environmental data and prepare reports, presentations, visual products, meeting materials, and organized program files.

What You Bring:

Required:

• Knowledge of environmental compliance, natural resources, environmental science, or related technical disciplines.
• Ability to collect, organize, analyze, and document environmental data and records.
• Ability to support field inspections, technical documentation, and coordination with multidisciplinary stakeholders.
• Must be able to successfully complete the required Tier 1 background investigation and obtain/maintain a Common Access Card (CAC).
• Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, Biology, Chemistry, or a related natural science field from an accredited institution within the 50 United States required.

Preferred:

• Experience supporting military facilities or infrastructure.
• Experience with military facility/infrastructure.
