Job summary

Langan Engineering & Environmental Services in Houston is seeking an Entry‑Level Environmental Permitting & Compliance Engineer to join its collaborative team.

This role leads and supports multimedia environmental compliance and permitting projects, including technical report writing, calculations, permit applications, and on-site inspections, with opportunities to work cross-functionally with industry leaders.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Environmental or Chemical Engineering.
• 0–2 years of work-related experience.
• FE/EIT/ASP or other professional certification a plus.
• Excellent written and verbal communication and organization skills.
• Strong attention to detail with analytical and problem-solving abilities.

Responsibilities

• Prepare permits and compliance programs for multiple environmental media (air, wastewater, stormwater, waste, EPCRA).
• Support air projects: emissions calculations, permit prep, Title V, GHG reporting, modeling.
• Assist with multi-media environmental compliance audits and program reviews.
• Develop monitoring and contingency plans (SPCC, FRP, SWPPP, Hazardous Waste).
• Prepare technical documents including reports, plans, permits, and other deliverables.
• Conduct field support at client sites including inspections and sample collection.
