Job summary

CDM Smith is seeking an entry-level Environmental, Water Resources, or Civil Engineer to join our Water Services Group. You will contribute to planning, design, and implementation of water and wastewater facilities, pipelines, and related infrastructure while developing technical expertise.

You’ll perform site assessments, assist design development, run analyses with ArcGIS, HEC-RAS, and SWMM, and prepare project deliverables.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil, Environmental or Chemical Engineering.
• 0 years of experience; travel may be required.
• Equivalent additional directly related experience will be considered in lieu of a degree.

Responsibilities

• Support site assessments and field investigations.
• Assist with design development and adjust design parameters based on project requirements and field findings.
• Perform water quality analyses, hydraulic and hydrologic modeling, and other engineering analyses.
• Prepare technical reports, project documentation, presentations, and other deliverables for client meetings and industry conferences.
• Use tools such as ArcGIS, HEC-RAS, SWMM, CADD, Excel for design and analysis.
• Office and in-field coordination to support regional lead service line rehabilitation projects.
• Participate in fieldwork and construction management activities, providing exposure to projects throughout the full project lifecycle.
