Job summary

CDM Smith is seeking an entry‑level Environmental Engineer to join our Water Services Group. This role offers early‑career engineers a path to apply their skills on meaningful water projects and grow within a dynamic team.

Under supervision, you will help design water and wastewater facilities, sewer systems, and pipelines, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards. You will also gain experience with fieldwork and client presentations using ArcGIS, HEC‑RAS, SWMM, and CADD.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil, Environmental or Chemical Engineering or related discipline.
• 1 year of related experience.
• Domestic and/or international travel may be required.
• Equivalent additional directly related experience considered in lieu of a degree.

Responsibilities

• Support design and implementation of water and wastewater treatment facilities, sewer systems, pipelines and related infrastructure.
• Perform site assessments and adjust design parameters as needed.
• Conduct water quality analyses and modeling.
• Prepare technical reports and presentations for client meetings and industry conferences.
• Assist in fieldwork supporting construction management and project lifecycle activities.
