Job summary

YU & ASSOCIATES INC seeks an Environmental Engineer for our Northern New Jersey office. You will perform soil and groundwater sampling, field inspections, and design solid waste facilities while providing modeling services, subcontractor oversight and project coordination.

We require a self‑motivated growth seeker with strong analytical and communication skills, able to travel to client sites and work with regulatory agencies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in environmental engineering required.
• HAZWOPER and EIT credentials are preferred.
• Strong communication and analytical skills essential.
• Field work and travel to client sites required.
• Knowledge of state and federal environmental regulations a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform soil and groundwater sampling and field inspections.
• Assist in design of solid waste facilities.
• Provide modeling services and subcontractor oversight.
• Coordinate projects and communicate with clients/regulatory agencies.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in environmental engineering

E.I.T. preferred

Trained in OSHA 40 Hour HAZWOPER preferred

Strong verbal and written communication skills

Strong analytical and judgment capabilities

Interaction with clients and regulatory agencies

Own vehicle with a valid driver's license

Strong technical and problem‑solving skills
