Hours: Full-time – 35 Hours

Only candidates who are currently probable permanent in the Civil Engineering Intern title, or those who are reachable on the Open-Competitive List (Exam #9036 or #2009), or those who filed for the Open-Competitive Exam #5047 may apply. The Department of Design & Construction, Division of Infrastructure, is currently seeking Junior Engineers to join our Design Unit in various sections.

Successful candidates will be provided with hands-on training and will contribute to a range of engineering tasks, from moderate to complex. Responsibilities include conducting research studies, engineering investigations, and assessments related to various engineering functions.

Additionally, candidates will carry out civil engineering tasks of moderate complexity under the supervision of an Engineer-In-Charge. The scope of work and training encompasses one or more of the following specialized areas: design, drafting, engineering investigations, cost estimation, specification writing, structural calculations, conducting field surveys, and participating in design-related site inspections.

• A baccalaureate degree in civil engineering from an accredited college or university; or
• A baccalaureate degree from an accredited college or university in civil engineering technology and two years of full-time satisfactory experience in civil engineering work.
