Junior Controls Engineer

Location: Secaucus, NJ

Lecron is a leading provider of industrial automation and Manufacturing Execution System (MES) solutions for the flavor, fragrance, and specialty chemical industries. Through our proprietary BatchMetrics MES platform and automation expertise, we help manufacturers improve efficiency, quality, and production visibility.

We are seeking a motivated Junior Controls Engineer to join our growing team. This is an excellent opportunity for an engineer looking to develop hands‑on experience with PLC programming, HMI systems, industrial networking, and customer‑facing automation projects.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the design, development, and implementation of industrial control systems.
• Support PLC, HMI, and SCADA programming activities.
• Participate in system testing, Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT), Site Acceptance Tests (SAT), and commissioning activities.
• Troubleshoot and resolve automation system issues both remotely and at customer sites.
• Assist with electrical drawings, system documentation, and technical reports.
• Support project teams throughout all phases of project execution.
• Work closely with Senior Engineers and Project Managers to deliver successful automation projects.
• Provide technical support to customers as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Controls Engineering, Automation, Mechatronics, or related field.
• 0–3 years of experience in industrial automation or controls engineering.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem‑solving skills.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
• Willingness to travel to customer sites as required.
