Sigma Earth is seeking a motivated energy markets analyst to support market studies, develop analytical models, and assist in due diligence for renewable energy and storage assets. You will work on bids for tenders and deliver client-ready insights and dashboards.

The role emphasizes strong data skills, proficiency in Excel/PowerPoint, and familiarity with Python/R/SQL or Power BI, with English written and spoken fluency as essential requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Business Analytics, Mathematics, or related discipline.
• Internship experience or up to one year of professional experience in energy, consulting, finance, data analytics, or a similar field.
• Strong problem-solving ability and quantitative skills, with good proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint.
• Familiarity with Python, R, SQL, or Power BI would be an added advantage.
• Interest in energy markets, fundamentals of SE European wholesale electricity markets, and knowledge of RO/ HU/GR markets is a plus.
• Domain exposure to renewable energy and storage valuation, routes to market, and flexible resources.
• Clear written and verbal communication skills, with ability to translate analysis into concise narratives.

Responsabilités

• Market and strategy support through market studies on Iberian wholesale power markets and related technologies.
• Quantitative analysis and modelling to evaluate market fundamentals and asset performance.
• Transaction support for due diligence in renewable energy and storage assets.
• Tenders and auctions: support bid development and pricing for government processes.
• Prepare clear client deliverables: presentations, memos, and dashboards.
