Gardner Skelton PLLC in Charlotte, NC is seeking an entry-level attorney (0–3 years) eager to learn and build a foundation for a legal career. You will focus on employment matters for large institutional clients, gaining firsthand experience, research, and practical counsel under close supervision.

You’ll learn from accomplished attorneys on a Chambers-ranked employment team led by Nicole Gardner, receiving consistent feedback and growing responsibilities as your skills develop.

Qualifications

• Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills are required.
• Candidates should demonstrate curiosity, initiative, and a willingness to learn.

Responsibilities

• Work with experienced attorneys on employment matters for large institutional clients.
• Research legal questions and turn findings into clear written analysis and practical recommendations.
• Review documents and identify information gaps to guide options and next steps.
• Draft and revise legal correspondence, memoranda, and other substantive work product with feedback.
• Communicate with clients and stakeholders to gather information and provide updates.
• Help manage an active caseload by tracking deadlines and coordinating with attorneys and staff.
• Develop understanding of each client’s operations and priorities within the broader relationship.
• Gradually take on more complex assignments and explore additional areas of practice.
