Qualifications

• 0-2 years hands-on embedded software/firmware experience (internship, co-op, or project work).
• BS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent.
• Proficient in C with exposure to assembly and C++ preferred.
• Familiar with microcontrollers, peripherals, interrupts, timers, and interfaces like UART, SPI, I2C.
• Ability to read schematics and contribute input on hardware design for embedded systems.
• Hands-on debugging of hardware and firmware using lab equipment.
• Collaborates effectively with senior engineers, QA, and manufacturing; participates in code reviews.
• Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and eagerness to learn from reviews and designs.
• Preferred: RTOS-based embedded systems, USB stacks, Wi-Fi/Bluetooth, Windows/macOS app development, and familiarity with Python/C#/NET.

Responsibilities

• Develop, debug, and test embedded software/firmware for features under Senior Embedded Software Engineer guidance.
• Sustain engineering: own firmware update releases from implementation through validation and deployment.
• Participate in discussions on requirements, specifications, feasibility.
• Assist with hardware design reviews including MCU, memory, I/O, audio, displays, and digital interfaces.
• Use lab equipment to troubleshoot embedded hardware and firmware issues.
• Support QA with defect investigation, reproduction, root-cause analysis, and validation.
• Contribute to software quality via design reviews, testing, and documentation; participate in code reviews (AI-assisted).
• Seek guidance from senior engineers and apply feedback to grow technical depth.
