Job summary

Cypress HCM is seeking an Embedded Software Engineer to design, develop, test, and support embedded and PC-based software solutions. The role covers firmware and application development across microcontroller platforms and real-time systems, with duties spanning hardware-software integration and system validation.

You will collaborate with electrical, mechanical, and quality teams, perform unit tests and debugging, create drivers and interfaces, and contribute to CI/CD workflows.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, CS, or related field.
• 5+ years of hands-on embedded systems development.
• Proficiency in C or C++ with multithreading and hardware integration.
• Experience with Cortex-M MCUs in RTOS and bare metal.
• Experience with board bring-up and low-level drivers (SPI, I2C, UART, ADC, DAC, USB, displays).
• Strong debugging, problem solving, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop embedded software for MCU-based systems with RTOS or bare metal.
• Create board bring-up code, drivers, boot loaders, and interfaces.
• Develop PC applications for diagnostics and testing.
• Perform unit and integration tests and code reviews.
• Collaborate with electrical, mechanical, and QA teams.
• Analyze defects and improve software quality.
