Job summary

TSC in Huntsville, AL is seeking a Junior Embedded Software Engineer to join our Product Solutions team. You will contribute to embedded Linux software for RF sensor products and support design, testing, and documentation under senior engineers’ guidance.

The ideal candidate has C/C++ experience, a basic Linux knowledge base, and strong teamwork and problem-solving skills. U.S. citizenship and the ability to obtain a DoD security clearance are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
• Zero to two years of professional software development experience; internships or co-op considered.

Responsibilities

• Support the design, development, integration, verification, and testing of embedded Linux software.
• Develop and maintain C or C++ software for embedded platforms.
• Assist with software interfaces for hardware devices, sensors, networking components, and communication protocols.
• Develop Python- and Bash-based scripts to support testing, automation, and data processing.
• Participate in software integration, debugging, and troubleshooting activities.
• Write and maintain software documentation, interface descriptions, test procedures, and development records.
• Use version-control systems and CI processes as per practices.
• Collaborate with systems, hardware, FPGA, algorithm, and test engineers to support system-level capabilities.
