Job summary

TSC’s Product Solutions (PS) organization in Huntsville, AL seeks a Mid-Level Embedded Software Engineer to design, develop, and test embedded software for RF sensor products. The role collaborates with hardware and FPGA teams, uses C/C++ and Python, and applies real-time control and signal processing techniques.

The ideal candidate has 3–10 years in embedded software, strong debugging skills, and a path toward DoD security clearance. On-site work with a comprehensive benefits package is offered.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical or computer engineering or related field.
• 3–10 years of embedded software development experience.
• Proficiency in C/C++ and Python/MATLAB.
• Strong understanding of microcontroller/microprocessor architectures and peripherals.
• Familiarity with debugging tools such as JTAG, oscilloscopes, and signal analyzers.
• Knowledge of UART, SPI, I2C, CAN, Ethernet.
• Excellent problem-solving, organization, and communication skills.
• US Citizenship and ability to obtain DoD security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain embedded software for ARM-based processors using C and C++.
• Develop system test applications using C, C++, and Python.
• Implement real-time controls, signal processing, and inter/intra-process communications.
• Collaborate with hardware and FPGA engineers to define software requirements and architecture.
• Debug and troubleshoot software and hardware integration with lab equipment and tools.
• Conduct integration and system testing to ensure software quality and performance.
• Work with HWIL testing to validate embedded software functionality.
• Document software designs, processes, and test plans/results.
