Job summary

Nidec Corporation is seeking a Software Development Engineer I to develop embedded software following ASPICE processes. You will join a team to design, implement, test, and document software for MCUs, coordinating with labs and production to ensure quality and reliable launches.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in a related engineering field and 0-1+ years of embedded experience, with strong C/C++ skills and familiarity with Git and testing equipment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electronics Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or equivalent.
• 0-1+ years of embedded software experience.
• Strong foundation in embedded programming using C or C++ for 8/16/32-bit MCUs.
• Proficiency with lab equipment (Oscilloscopes, Logic analyzers, Function generators).
• Experience with software version control systems (Git).

Responsibilities

• Assist the Software Development Project Leader in design and development as an active team member.
• Writes and modifies software documentation (Requirements, design docs, test specs).
• Implements code as directed by the Software Development Project Leader.
• Fixes bugs and updates documentation during development and maintenance.
• Creates test cases, executes tests and logs defects.
• Coordinates with lab personnel on prototype testing.
• Collaborates with production to ensure safe launches of programs.
