Job summary

Insight Global seeks an Embedded Software Engineer to develop software for embedded microcontrollers across multiple platforms, participating in product development from inception to validation in a fast-paced R&D environment.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams of engineers and designers, review and update code, interpret schematics, and contribute to design requirements, documentation, and testing to meet compliance and quality standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS, EE, or related discipline.
• At least 2 years of relevant embedded software experience.
• Ability to work effectively in a dynamic team.
• Proficiency with C++, C#, and Java coding languages.
• Experience with Git repositories and version control.
• Excellent time management and technical writing skills.

Develop software for a wide range of devices and be involved in product development from Inception to production in a fast-paced R&D setting. You would be involved in assessment of product requirements, user interface design, software architecture and backend development, and validation. Role includes working with 3rd party developers on various applications and supporting legacy products with bug-fixes and feature improvements. Work on multiple simultaneous projects with a cross-functional team of engineers and designers.

• Interpreting Electrical Schematic Drawings
• Review and Selection of Electrical Components
• Writing Technical Documentation / Instructions
• Collaborating on Creation of Design Requirements / Specifications
• Understanding and Ability to meet Compliance and Testing Requirements
• Collaborating with 3rd Party Developers and Vendors
• Supporting manufacturing process controls as needed

Needed experience & technical knowledge:

• Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related Discipline
• Two years of relevant experience
• Demonstrated ability to work with others in a dynamic team environment
• Familiarity with C++, C#, and Java coding languages
• Proficiency with GIT Repositories
• Ability to work with little supervision
• Excellent time management and prioritization skills
• Strong work ethic and a desire for excellence
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office products

Preferred Skills:
