Job summary

RTX is seeking a real-time embedded software engineer for onsite work at our Tucson, AZ campus. The role focuses on development of real-time software and embedded systems, with emphasis on C/C++ programming and rigorous software processes.

The position requires ability to obtain Interim Secret clearance and U.S. citizenship. Onsite work and collaboration with cross-functional teams are essential to deliver mission-critical solutions.

Qualifications

• Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) required.
• Ability to obtain Interim Secret Level U.S. government issued security clearance is required; U.S. citizenship is required.

Responsibilities

• Assist and participate in requirements, design, development and testing of real-time embedded software, applications, and tools.
• Design, code, test, integrate, and document software solutions.
• Participate in internal review of software components and systems.
• Collaborate with project managers and other professionals within Engineering.
• Work on problems with defined scope, schedule, and expectations.
• Follow established development practices to maintain configuration management of software products.
• Ability to obtain program access required.
