Job summary

Teradyne is seeking an Embedded Firmware Engineer in North Reading, MA to develop embedded board support packages for Teradyne instruments. You will participate in architecture decisions, write Linux BSP and userspace tooling, and work with cross-functional teams to ensure interfaces to hardware systems are robust and scalable.

The role requires 2+ years of experience, strong C/C++ skills, Embedded Linux BSP experience, and familiarity with CI/CD, Git, CMake, and Docker.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of firmware experience.
• Proficient in C and C++ (11+).
• Embedded Linux BSP development (Devicetrees, U-Boot) experience.
• CI/CD integration experience.
• Strong communication and initiative.
• Familiar with Linux kernel & U-Boot open source.
• Cross-functional teamwork in complex systems.

Responsibilities

• Architecture, design, implementation, verification, and lab validation of Linux BSP and userspace tools.
• Collaborate with Hardware, Software, and Systems engineering to interface with complex hardware.
• Implement scalable, high-performance, maintainable code.
• Build, deploy, and test automation for the systems you create.
