Junior Electronic Trading Support Engineer

Hudson River Trading (HRT) is looking for a Junior Electronic Trading Support Engineer to join our global Trade Operations (TradeOps) team in NYC. This team manages HRT's live trading environment – the most robust and efficient electronic trading platform worldwide – handling configuration, monitoring, and optimization of trading systems, as well as risk, regulatory, and development tasks. Your day could involve debugging for market open, making on‑the‑spot decisions balancing compliance, risk, and PnL, or coordinating the technical rollout of a new trading strategy.

Role

In a high‑performance environment, rapid awareness and reaction to system and trading issues are essential. As an Electronic Trading Support Engineer, you will manage new initiatives, ensure smooth trading days, and act as the first line of defense when problems arise. You will serve as the subject‑matter expert on recent changes to the production trading platform, covering systems infrastructure, compliance, risk management, overnight clearing, and performance improvement.

The estimated base salary range for this position is $100,000 - $150,000 per year, based on job‑related skills and experience. This role will also be eligible for discretionary performance‑based bonuses and a competitive benefits package.
