Job summary

Adams, Inc. in Elkhorn, WI is hiring a Junior Electrical Estimator to help develop bids from concept to completion. You will work with senior estimators and operations leaders to learn estimating processes and support projects from start to finish.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma, basic electrical construction exposure, and strong Excel skills, with a goal of growing in estimating and project management within a family-owned Wisconsin business.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; electrical apprenticeship a plus.
• Experience in electrical construction or related fields preferred.
• Strong math, analytical and reading blueprints abilities.
• Proficient in Excel and basic project documentation.

Responsibilities

• Review electrical plans, drawings and specs.
• Perform quantity takeoffs and material counts.
• Assist with estimating and proposals.
• Gather pricing from suppliers and subs.
• Prepare bid packages and project docs.
• Support site visits and pre-bid activities.
• Assist with change orders and revisions.

We're looking for a Junior Electrical Estimator to join our team in Elkhorn, WI. This position is a great opportunity for someone currently working in the electrical trade, construction industry, or project support role who wants to develop a long-term career in estimating and project management.

You will work directly with experienced estimators and operational leaders to learn the estimating process while helping prepare bids and support projects from concept through completion.

What You'll Do

• Review electrical plans, drawings, and specifications
• Complete quantity takeoffs and material counts
• Assist with developing project estimates and proposals
• Gather pricing from suppliers and subcontractors
• Help prepare bid packages and project documentation
• Participate in project site visits and pre-bid meetings
• Support project managers during project startup and execution
• Assist with change order pricing and estimate revisionsMaintain estimating records and pricing databases
• Learn and develop advanced estimating and project management skills

What We're Looking For

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 1-3 years of electrical construction or related construction experience preferred
• Electrical apprenticeship experience is a plus
• Strong computer skills, particularly Microsoft Excel
• Ability to read blueprints and construction drawings
• Strong mathematical and analytical skills
• Detail-oriented and highly organized
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Valid driver's license

Compensation

$22.00 - $30.00 per hour, depending on experience, qualifications, and electrical industry background.

Annual performance and compensation reviews based on individual performance and company results.
