Arcadis is seeking an entry-level Electrical Engineer (Power) to support municipal water/wastewater projects in Columbus, OH (also Detroit, MI). You will work on power distribution, standby power, lighting, and instrumentation systems under senior staff.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or electrical engineering technology, or a closely related field of study.
• Preferred: Professional Engineer license.
• Experience in W/WW electrical engineering design.
• Knowledge of power and standby power systems, lighting and motor control systems design.
• Knowledge of instrumentation, PLC controls and SCADA network architecture.
• Active participation in regional and/or national professional associations.

Responsibilities

• Define design criteria, performing detailed calculations, and developing key deliverables such as one-line diagrams, control schematics, plans, and specifications. Proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit is essential.
• Prepare construction cost estimates, conduct code compliance reviews, field investigations, and draft technical reports and memorandums.
• During construction, provide engineering support, including reviewing equipment submittals, shop drawings, and responding to contractor RFIs.
