Job summary

Eastern Research Group, Inc. (ERG) is hiring a junior electrical engineer for on-site work at the Naval Support Facility in Indian Head, MD.

You will develop electrical designs for renovations and power distribution, preparing packages that include drawings, specifications, and cost estimates. You will assess design packages for UFC compliance, support proposal development, and collaborate with engineering and manufacturing teams to advance projects from concept through delivery.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, minimum GPA 3.0.
Experience with energetics-related safety systems preferred.
Awareness of NFPA 70 NEC requirements.
Experience with AutoCAD and SolidWorks.
Ability to prioritize, perform, and communicate effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Must hold or be able to obtain DoD Secret-level clearance.
Must be a U.S. citizen; not eligible for Limited Access Authorizations.

Responsibilities

Prepare design packages including drawings, specs, and cost estimates for renovations and power systems.
Conduct technical reviews of others' design packages for UFC and code compliance.
Provide input to proposals for renovation projects.
Support design process from concept to delivery of design package.
Prepare technical memoranda summarizing requirements or basis of design.
Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders across departments.
Serve as project or design manager on assigned projects.
