Placements24 is seeking a Junior Electrical Engineer to join the power projects team in Soweto. This role offers hands-on experience from design to site supervision under senior engineers in a supportive team environment.

The position suits a recent graduate or engineer with 0–3 years of experience, with a focus on power systems and electrical infrastructure. A hybrid work arrangement and mentorship support are provided to foster growth.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• 0–3 years of experience in electrical engineering, preferably power systems.
• Basic understanding of electrical principles and software tools.
• Willingness to undertake site visits.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the design and development of electrical systems for power projects, including schematics and single-line diagrams.
• Support senior engineers in conducting technical studies, calculations, and site assessments.
• Participate in the inspection and commissioning of electrical equipment and installations.
• Assist in preparing project documentation, reports, and material take-offs.
• Collaborate with project teams to ensure adherence to project schedules, budgets, and quality standards.
• Learn and apply industry best practices and safety protocols in all aspects of work.
