Job summary

Hargrove & Associates Inc. in Baton Rouge, LA is seeking an Electrical Engineer I for early‑career, supervised design work on industrial projects. You will produce installation details, motor control schematics, wiring diagrams, and grounding plans, adhering to NEC and our CAD drafting standards.

Candidates should have a Bachelor or Master of Science in Electrical Engineering and may have up to one year of relevant industrial experience. An Engineer in Training (EIT) registration is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor or Master in Electrical Engineering required.
• Up to 1 year of relevant industrial electrical/instrumentation experience.
• EIT registration preferred.
• Knowledge of NEC and CAD drafting standards.

Responsibilities

• Design routine, less complex electrical tasks under supervision.
• Produce installation details, motor control diagrams, and cable schedules.
• Assist drafting group and review vendor drawings.
• Support on-site startup and coordination with other disciplines.
• Perform basic calculations (lighting, voltage drop, conduit fills).
