Job summary

Salas O’Brien, Inc. is seeking a Junior Electrical Engineer to join the design team focused on Fed-FloridaBusinessUnit projects.

The role involves interior and exterior lighting, power distribution, fire alarm, life safety, and other electrical systems design, with field support and cost analyses. We require a BS in Electrical Engineering (ABET-accredited) and up to five years of experience; EIT is preferred.

Qualifications

• BS Electrical Engineering degree required from an ABET-accredited program.
• Up to five years of professional Electrical Engineering experience.
• EIT Certification preferred but not required.
• Proficient in Microsoft 365 applications.
• Working knowledge of NEC, NFPA, ANSI, UFC; knowledge of FBC, ASME, AFMAN/SSMAN preferred.
• Experience with CAD, Revit, Bluebeam Revu or similar drafting software preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist engineering teams from concept design through testing and implementation.
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to meet customer requirements.
• Maintain accurate project documentation and design specifications.
• Communicate effectively to keep customers and teams informed.
• Support design, field activities, and cost analyses for electrical systems.
