Job summary

Burns & McDonnell in Michigan is seeking an Assistant Electrical Engineer to support project teams across power, process, healthcare, and governmental facilities. You will help translate client needs into electrical designs, draft and modify drawings, and assist with field inspections throughout design and construction.

Ideal candidates hold a bachelor’s in electrical engineering with internship experience; ABET accreditation is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering required.
• ABET accreditation strongly preferred.
• Internship and/or related consulting experience preferred.
• Minimum GPA 3.0 strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assists in electrical design of projects from conceptual phase through design completion.
• Assists with modifying and reviewing production drawings for various facilities.
• Assists in designing electrical components per project manager requirements.
• Applies basic knowledge of electrical concepts, practices, codes, and procedures.
