Job summary

ENTRUST Solutions Group is seeking an Entry-Level Electrical Design Technician to support electric distribution projects including wildfire mitigation, grid resiliency, and infrastructure improvements. You will assist with GIS/CAD drafting, field assessments, and coordination with internal teams.

The role emphasizes hands-on learning, fieldwork in various weather conditions, and growth within a Leidos-backed infrastructure group.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of experience in utility design, electrical construction, or civil drafting.
• Familiarity with GIS platforms and drafting software is a plus.
• Willingness to learn utility design standards and tools.

Responsibilities

• Design electric distribution projects from initiation to completion, focusing on fire mitigation and system hardening.
• Create, update, revise construction drawings using GIS platforms and drafting software.
• Perform utility design calculations, pole loading, transformer sizing, and cable routing.
• Conduct field visits to assess assets and collect design data.
• Track project lifecycles, manage materials and Bills of Materials, coordinate with teams.
• Serve as a key contact for customers and crews to communicate solutions and resolve conflicts.
