Job summary

ENTRUST Solutions Group is hiring an Entry-Level Electrical Design Technician for a Hybrid role focused on electric utility projects. You will assist in design, GIS drafting, field assessments, and project coordination to support wildfire mitigation and grid resiliency efforts.

Ideal candidates have 1–2 years of utility design or drafting experience, familiarity with GIS platforms (GE Smallworld) and AutoCAD, and a proactive, detail-oriented mindset.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years of experience in utility design or related drafting work.
• Experience with GIS platforms (GE Smallworld), AutoCAD, or similar design software is a plus.
• Detail-oriented with strong collaboration and field coordination skills.

Responsibilities

• Design and draft electric distribution projects with emphasis on fire mitigation and grid resiliency.
• Create and revise construction sketches and proposals using GIS/drafting tools.
• Perform basic utility design calculations and support field assessments.
• Coordinate with scheduling, project teams, and field crews to track progress.
