Job summary

Environmental Specialties, LLC is seeking an entry‑level Electrical & Controls Engineer to join our engineering team. You will work with senior engineers on design, development, and commissioning of control systems for precision environmental chambers, contributing to new product initiatives.

This hands‑on role covers full lifecycle—from electrical schematics and panel design to testing and delivery to clients.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from an ABET-accredited program.
• Prior internship or co-op experience in engineering is preferred.
• Hands-on project experience with microcontrollers (Arduino, Raspberry Pi) or embedded systems is encouraged.
• Troubleshooting aptitude in electrical or programming issues is a plus.
• Software skills include CAD tools and basic programming concepts.

Responsibilities

• Electrical Design: develop and maintain electrical schematics and panel layouts.
• PLC & HMI Development: participate in the development, testing, and troubleshooting of PLC logic.
• Electromechanical Controls: apply knowledge of electromechanical control systems in industrial chamber applications.
• Standards & Compliance: learn/apply UL 508A and NEC codes.
• Hardware Integration: support configuration and troubleshooting of industrial controls.
• Documentation: generate/maintain project docs including schematics, BOMs, FAT/test protocols.
• Testing & Commissioning: create FAT documentation and perform testing.
• Other duties as assigned.
