Job summary

UNAVAILABLE is seeking an entry-level Electrical Commissioning Technician I to assist in testing, maintenance, and installation of electrical equipment under close supervision.

The position emphasizes gaining foundational skills while supporting more experienced technicians and adhering to NETA specifications and safety requirements such as LOTO. A high school diploma with relevant experience or training is required.

Qualifications

• Minimum of high school diploma with 2+ years of experience, or a combination of equivalent experience and training.
• Reliable Transportation
• Must pass background check and drug test
• Must have a valid driver's license with a good driving record.

Responsibilities

• Assist in testing and maintenance of site/field equipment.
• Support the installation, rearrangement, and removal of equipment and associated wiring.
• Perform basic testing, moving, and adjustments of equipment.
• Assist in field construction inspection to ensure compliance with NETA specifications and plans.
• Maintain records and report inspection activities.
• Understand and apply basic knowledge of mathematics, engineering measuring devices, and safety procedures (including LOTO).
• Prep equipment for testing as directed by the commissioning lead.
• Assist in the operation of load banks and equipment with proper PPE.
• Participate in Operational Risk Management meetings (ORMs).
