Job summary

Epiq Systems, Inc. in New York seeks a Junior eDiscovery Technical Specialist - Data Collections to support confidential legal investigations by acquiring, searching, and processing electronic records.

You will work with Veritas Discovery Accelerator, Gimmal Discovery Attender, and MS Office to ensure accurate data collections, QC, and timely deliverables, collaborating across IT, Legal, and HR with flexibility for extra hours.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in information technology or related field or equivalent experience.
• Familiarity with eDiscovery tools, especially Veritas Discovery Accelerator; Gimmal Discovery Attender.
• Microsoft Office proficiency including advanced Excel; Microsoft Exchange familiarity.

Responsibilities

• Develop, enhance and maintain process documentation for data collection workflows.
• Coordinate with IT teams to access and acquire records not directly accessible.
• Perform data collections using industry standard tools such as EnCase, FTK, Veritas Discovery Accelerator.
• Export and package deliverables for review platforms or further processing.
• Provide troubleshooting and clear communication with Legal, HR and internal clients.

Enabled by modern platforms and AI, you’ll do the most meaningful work of your career and see your impact at scale.Job Description:he Junior eDiscovery Technical Specialist - Data Collections role is an eDiscovery support function to acquire, search, organize and present key electronic records (mainly but not exclusively email) to support confidential/sensitive Legal and Human Resource inquiries and investigations.ResponsibilitiesDeveloping and enhancing existing process documentation.Develop, enhance and maintain operational processes and procedures, including data QC and validation, to ensure a consistent, correct, complete and timely collection and processing of specified sources.Coordination with other IT teams to acquire records that are not directly accessible.Perform data collections using industry standard tools such as EnCase, Forensic Toolkit, Veritas Discovery Accelerator etc.Processing / searching of acquired data.Perform data culling and processing using industry standard softwareExport and package deliverables for review platforms or subsequent processing.Provide troubleshooting services to clients.Communication with Legal, Regulatory Business requestors (internal clients), IT teams and external providers.Ability to clearly set timeline expectations and priorities.Ability to define tasks across all support organizations.Maintain tracking and reporting for various support teams and up lines.Potentially work additional hours beyond regular schedule to meet customer commitments which may include evenings and weekends.RequirementsBachelor's degree in information technology or related field, or equivalent experience.Familiarity with eDiscovery tools, in particular Veritas Discovery Accelerator; Gimmal Discovery Attender.Familiar with standard eDiscovery methodology.Microsoft Office (including advanced Excel).Microsoft ExchangeAbility to engage effectively to internal Clients (notably General Counsel and Human Resource.)
