Job summary

LONG Building Technologies is seeking a Junior Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations Developer to support development, maintenance, and improvements of D365 F&O ERP systems. Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in computer science, information systems, software engineering, or related field.
• 0–3 years of software development, application support, or ERP-related experience.
• Basic understanding of object-oriented programming concepts.
• Experience with SQL and relational databases.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with technical and business teams.

Responsibilities

• Assist with development, testing, deployment, and maintenance of customizations within Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations (D365 F&O).
• Troubleshoot application issues and support end users in diagnosing and resolving system-related issues.
• Develop and maintain forms, data structures, reports and other application objects using D365 F&O tools, Visual Studio, SSRS, and SQL.
• Participate in requirements gathering, solution design discussions, and documentation of processes.
• Perform unit testing and support UAT for system enhancements and defect resolution.
• Assist with deployments, code promotions, and source control using Azure DevOps.
• Learn and support LONG business processes across finance, purchasing, inventory, project management, sales, and service.

Position Purpose

The Junior Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations Developer is responsible for supporting the development, maintenance, and continuous improvement of LONG Building Technologies’ enterprise resource planning systems, including Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance and Operations. This role partners business users and technical teams to troubleshoot application issues, develop test system enhancements, support reporting solutions, and maintain critical business applications. The position contributes to reliable system performance and effective business operations through technical development, documentation, testing, deployment support, and adherence to established software development practices.

The Junior Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations Developer is responsible for supporting the development, maintenance, and continuous improvement of LONG Building Technologies’ enterprise resource planning systems, including Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance and Operations. This role partners business users and technical teams to troubleshoot application issues, develop test system enhancements, support reporting solutions, and maintain critical business applications. The position contributes to reliable system performance and effective business operations through technical development, documentation, testing, deployment support, and adherence to established software development practices.

Pay Range

$70,000 - $90,000 annually, plus potential profit share.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

• Assist with the development, testing, deployment, and maintenance of customizations within Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations (D365 F&O).
• Troubleshoot application issues and support end users in diagnosing and resolving system-related issues.
• Develop and maintain forms, data structures, reports and other application objects using D365 F&O development tools, Visual Studio, SSRS, and SQL.
• Participate in requirements gathering, solution design discussions, and documentation of business and technical processes.
• Perform unit testing and support user acceptance testing for system enhancements and defect resolution.
• Assist with application deployments, code promotions, and source control activities using Azure DevOps.
• Learn and support LONG business processes including finance, purchasing, inventory, project management, sales, and service operations.
• Stay current on Microsoft technologies, ERP best practices, and software development trends.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, Software Engineering, or related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 0-3 years of software development, application support, or ERP-related experience.
• Basic understanding of object-oriented programming concepts.
• Experience with SQL and relational databases.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with technical and business teams.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations or Dynamics AX.
• Experience with C#, X++, .NET, SQL Server, or similar technologies.
• Familiarity with source control and software development lifecycle practices.
• Experience supporting business applications or enterprise software.

Physical Requirements

• This position may involve sitting for extended periods, lifting, bending, and kneeling.
• This position may require lifting to 25 lbs. from floor to countertop and countertop to floor.

• Indoor, office environment

Work Arrangement

Hybrid. Remote work flexibility is provided; however, regular onsite attendance may be required based on business needs.
