Job summary

Akkodis is seeking a Durability Test Engineer (entry level engineer) to work for our premier automotive client in Chelsea, MI. The Durability Engineer serves as the voice of the customer and is responsible for vehicle durability testing to ensure that all potential customer issues are identified, reported, and resolved prior to product launch.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Mechanical, Electrical or Computer Engineering or related degree.
• 0–3 years auto industry experience or related.
• Strong automotive/vehicle fundamentals.
• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel & PowerPoint.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Self-motivated and directed.

Responsibilities

• Support vehicle durability testing and provide initial RCA for issues.
• Update vehicles with latest software when new releases are available.
• Review driver comments to identify issues and initiate root cause analysis.
• Daily/weekly inspection of vehicles to identify component deterioration and potential failures.
• Document issues in PGTIS, share findings, and request replacement parts.
• Assist with analysis of all vehicle data.
