Northern Motors in Ashland, VA seeks an Entry-Level Diesel Mechanic/Technician to inspect, maintain, and repair heavy-duty vehicles including trucks, trailers, and forklifts. You will monitor diesel engines, transmissions, brakes, electrical and cooling systems while upholding safety standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Trade school education is preferred.
• Mechanical aptitude and problem-solving mindset encouraged.
• Previous automotive or fleet maintenance experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance services and inspections.
• Perform medium and heavy duty vehicle alignments.
• Perform entry level repairs.
• Assist with diagnosing problems, replace or repair parts, test and make adjustments.
• Comply with safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work areas.
