Job summary

Phizenix Inc. is seeking aJunior DevSecOps Engineer to help implement, automate, and maintain secure cloud infrastructure and CI/CD pipelines. You will assist in IaC deployments, cloud environments, security controls, and AI-assisted development practices across the software lifecycle.

The ideal candidate has foundational experience with AWS or Azure, containerization, automation tools, and a passion for security and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
• 1-3 years of experience in DevOps/DevSecOps/Cloud/Infrastructure initiatives.
• Foundational experience with Linux and Shell/Bash scripting.

Responsibilities

• Support the maintenance of secure, compliant cloud-native infrastructure architectures.
• Identify security vulnerabilities and support remediation efforts.
• Develop and maintain security automation tools and scripts (e.g., Python).
• Assist with AWS or Azure environments, Docker, Kubernetes, GitHub repos, and dependency management.
• Support deployment of infrastructure, HTTP/TLS security configurations, and compliance assets using IaC tools.
• Automate routine tasks to improve scalability and consistency.
• Assist with CI/CD pipeline operations using Jenkins, Spinnaker, and similar tools.
• Help create Pipeline as Code (PaC) and Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
• Assist with deploying cloud resources via scripts and manifests.
• Troubleshoot infrastructure and deployment issues.
• Leverage AI-assisted development tools like GitHub Copilot for code generation and review.
