Motion Recruitment Partners LLC is seeking a junior DevOps/Infrastructure Engineer for an on-site role in Woodridge, IL. You will support Linux and Windows servers, write Python/Bash/PowerShell scripts, and work with TCP/IP networking, monitoring, and automation.

You will collaborate with developers, traders, and infrastructure teams to improve deployment reliability and support high-availability systems in a production environment.

Qualifications

• 0-3 years of professional experience in DevOps, Infrastructure Engineering, SRE, Trade Support, or a related field.
• Strong system administration and troubleshooting skills
• Experience supporting both Linux and Windows Server environments
• Scripting experience with Python, Bash, PowerShell, or similar languages
• Strong understanding of TCP/IP networking
• Ability to troubleshoot complex production issues across infrastructure and applications
• Experience analyzing logs and diagnosing system, application, and connectivity issues
• SQL and database experience
• Ability to work on-site in Woodridge, IL
• Comfortable working in a high-pressure production environment
• Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills

Job description

This is a full-time, on-site opportunity in Woodridge, IL with a growing proprietary trading firm that develops data-driven trading strategies across global markets. You will support and improve the infrastructure powering trading operations, working with Linux and Windows servers, Python, Bash, PowerShell, TCP/IP networking, monitoring and alerting tools, infrastructure automation, databases, and production systems.

This is an excellent opportunity for a technically curious junior engineer who wants hands-on exposure to high-availability infrastructure, automation, troubleshooting, and low-latency trading environments. You will work closely with developers, traders, and infrastructure teams while helping support new trading initiatives and improve deployment reliability. The role offers broad technical ownership, continuous learning, and the chance to build a strong foundation across DevOps, systems engineering, SRE, networking, and production support.
