Job summary

Liberty Software, based in Southlake, TX, is hiring a Junior DevOps Engineer to help build, automate, and support the systems that keep our software running smoothly. You will collaborate with IT Infrastructure, InfoSec, software development, and QA teams to enable efficient and secure delivery of our products.

The role involves creating automated pipelines, deploying software, implementing monitoring, and documenting processes.

Qualifications

1–3 years of hands-on Windows Server administration (2012R2–2022).
1–2 years in Software Development Operations.
1–2 years in administration of source code control and production platforms (GitLab, TFS, etc.).
Knowledge of deployment/configuration tools like Jenkins or Puppet.
Strong communication, interpersonal and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

Collaborate with IT Infra, InfoSec, development and QA to enable secure, efficient software delivery.
Build and maintain automated pipelines for CI, testing, and deployment.
Define and enforce DevOps policies and procedures with senior engineers.
Implement logging, metrics, tracing, and alerting for hosted systems.
Document information flow and host system configurations and releases.
Develop automation for deployments using PowerShell, Bash, or Python.
Monitor post-production performance and troubleshoot outages per policy.
