Job summary

Teads Studio in Chicago is seeking a Junior Designer to bridge design and code, translating brand concepts into production-ready interactive ad units for web and mobile. Qualifications

• Foundational background in digital graphic design, UI/UX, or digital media.
• Proficiency in Figma and Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, After Effects).
• Front-end development: HTML5, CSS3, and vanilla JavaScript (ES6+).
• Understanding of display vs. video formats, basic IAB standards, VAST/VPAID tags, and third-party tracking setup.
• QA: strong attention to detail and cross-browser testing.

Responsibilities

• Translate brand guidelines and campaign concepts into engaging visual designs optimized for in-feed environments.
• Craft sleek visual layouts applying core UI/UX fundamentals—composition, typography, color theory, and visual hierarchy.
• Design fluid motion sequences, establishing precise timing, easing, and choreography for interactive creative assets.
• Build responsive HTML5, CSS3, and modern JavaScript (ES6+) layouts from existing templates and patterns without heavy frameworks.
• Repurpose & analyze existing codebase patterns to quickly integrate, adjust, or tweak snippets for custom builds.
• Prototype and ship simpler display and video experiences end-to-end, reducing handoffs.
• Configure campaign builds under the hood—managing scaffolding, assets, parameters, and tag structures.
• Understand AdTech standards, including IAB specifications, VAST/VPAID video tags, and 3rd‑party tracking pixels.
• Execute thorough QA testing across browsers, devices, and publisher environments to catch and fix issues before go-live.
• Leverage generative AI tools into daily workflows for both visual exploration and code assistance.
• Bridge design and dev perspectives across the team, growing your technical skills while delivering polished creative work.
