Job summary

Kate Marker Interiors is seeking a motivated Junior Designer to support luxury residential projects from concept through installation, emphasizing organization, creativity, and exceptional attention to detail.

You will assist with sourcing furnishings, preparing client presentations, maintaining project documentation, coordinating with vendors, and supporting installations, with 1–3 years of experience and a Bachelor’s in Interior Design.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Interior Design or related field is required.
• 1–3 years of working residential interior design experience required.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Keynote, and Microsoft Office required.
• In-person only; no remote or hybrid considered.
• Strong understanding of residential furnishings, materials, textiles, lighting, and finish selections.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Exceptional organizational and time management abilities with attention to detail.
• Ability to prioritize multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Support design team through all phases of residential interior design projects from concept to final installation.
• Assist with selection and sourcing of furniture, lighting, plumbing, textiles, artwork, and finish materials within project vision and budget.
• Prepare client presentations, mood boards, finish boards, material palettes, and design documentation.
• Maintain accurate project information, specifications, pricing, lead times, and documentation.
• Coordinate with vendors, manufacturers, workrooms, and trade partners for quotes, samples, product info, and order updates.
• Assist with project purchasing, sample management, and design library organization.
• Participate in client meetings, site visits, measurements, and installation days.
• Assist with project styling and final project completion to meet Kate Marker Interiors standards.
• Collaborate with Designers, Procurement, Warehouse, and Operations to ensure smooth project progress.
