Job summary

Maggie Richmond Design, an interior design firm in New York City, invites a Junior Interior Designer to work with the Principal on residential projects. You will participate in all phases from design to installation and coordinate with vendors, clients and team members.

Responsibilities include room layouts, sourcing materials, budgeting support and on-site measurements, with opportunities to assist in shoots and client meetings.

Qualifications

• Junior interior design role requiring involvement in design, documentation, vendor coordination and installation.
• Residences in and around New York City with exposure to all project phases.

Responsibilities

• Shop fabrics, finishes, fixtures and furniture; organize fabric library.
• Assist on-site with taking dimensions, progress photos and notes.
• Support team during client and project installation dates.
• Assist principal with project photo shoot preparation and styling.

Interior design firm Maggie Richmond Design is looking for a Junior Interior Designer to work alongside the Principal to help conceive, define and execute residential projects in and around New York City. The candidate will be included in all phases of project development including, but not limited to: design, documentation, vendor correspondence, sample management, product specification, and installation.

Opportunities and Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Creation of floor plans, elevations and renderings.
• Communicating with key vendors, suppliers & clients.
• Assist in creation of client presentations, design concepts, space planning etc.
• Assist with project logistics including budget tracking, purchasing and delivery/scheduling of renovation and installation dates etc.
• Sourcing requesting quotes, processing & tracking orders with vendors and contractors.
• Researching new products and vendors.
• Support principal in client meetings, with administrative duties and business related errands.
• Shopping for fabrics, finishes, fixtures & furniture at D&D Building/ NYDC et al.
• Organize and maintain fabric library.
• On-site work, including taking dimensions, progress photos and notes, and tabulation.
• Assisting team during client and special project installation dates.
• Assisting principal with project photo shoot preparation and styling.
