Job summary

DK Law - Injury, Accident, and More is seeking a Junior Demand Writer to transform case files, medical records, and supporting documentation into compelling narratives for settlement with insurance carriers. You will work closely with attorneys and the Demands Team, gaining hands-on experience with settlements and the lifecycle of a personal injury claim.

The role emphasizes strong writing, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in drafting persuasive demand packages or similar legal writing
• Ability to organize complex information into clear narratives
• Experience with reviewing case files, medical records, and supporting documentation
• Experience in a writing-intensive or case-management role

Responsibilities

• Draft clear, persuasive demand packages for submission to insurance carriers
• Review case files, medical records, bills, incident reports to present damages
• Collaborate with attorneys and the Demands Team to support settlement efforts
• Assist attorneys with reviewing and evaluating settlement offers
• Prepare written counter-demands and communicate with carriers
• Maintain regular communication with clients and families about injuries and case progress
• Monitor deadlines and prioritize files with approaching statutes of limitations
• Document communications, offers, and updates in the CRM
• Prepare and send settlement releases to clients and carriers
• Review and organize settlement correspondence from carriers
• Handle phone inquiries with a multi-line system
• Scan, copy, fax, file case documents
• Other duties as assigned
