LS Technologies is seeking a Junior Data Scientist to support data collection, processing, management, analysis, and visualization for the FAA. Candidates should have basic experience with Power BI, Python, and SQL and thrive in a matrix-managed environment.

The role involves data preparation for Dataverse, ETL automation, and creating dashboards to inform decision-making, with a hybrid 3-day-in-office schedule in Warrington, VA.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a physical sciences, computer engineering, information technology, computer science, or related field.
• 0–2 years of experience in data analysis, data management, or related area.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Power BI through coursework, certification, or professional experience.
• Basic knowledge of Python and SQL; strong communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a matrix-managed environment.

Responsibilities

• Collect, clean, store, analyze, and visualize data using Power BI and related tools.
• Support automation of resident data collection through ETL processes.
• Use Python and SQL to process data, run queries, and ensure data accuracy.
• Prepare data for integration with Microsoft Dataverse.
• Maintain data infrastructure in line with governance and security requirements.
• Create reports and dashboards to support operational and strategic decision-making.
• Communicate proactively with team members and stakeholders.
