Job summary

TEKsystems seeks a motivated Data Engineer/BI Developer to support dashboard creation, data cleanup, and reporting enhancements across multiple business areas. This hybrid Colorado Springs, CO role focuses on Tableau/SQL development and collaboration with end users to improve data visibility and decision-making.

You will work with SMEs, support ticketing in Teams, and coordinate backlog items with the BI Manager via Azure DevOps, while also assisting with data remapping and maintenance

Location: Hybrid Colorado Springs, CO

Role Overview

We’re looking for a

motivated, collaborative Data Engineer/BI Developer to support dashboard

creation, data cleanup, and reporting enhancements across multiple business

areas. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment,

proactively seeks out work, and enjoys working directly with users to improve

data visibility and decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

• Dashboard Development:
  • Build and enhance Tableau dashboards based on ad hoc requests or evolving business needs
  • Create dashboards from new data sources or improve existing ones (e.g., adding filters, updating visuals)
  • Ensure dashboards are scalable and require minimal maintenance
• Workflow & Collaboration:
  • Work closely with subject matter experts (SMEs) across different areas
  • Participate in shared Teams chat for ticketing, escalation, and self-assignment
  • Collaborate with the BI Manager to prioritize backlog items in Azure DevOps based on impact and feasibility
  • Support enterprise tools like ServiceNow (subject to change)
• Data Integration & Maintenance:
  • Assist with remapping pipelines due to mergers or changes in semantic environments
  • Help scale manual processes, especially in Finance
  • Contribute to cleanup efforts in high-demand areas like Credit Cards

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Colorado Springs, CO.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $40.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
