TEKsystems in Newport Beach, CA seeks a Software Engineer for a 6-month contract to modernize a legacy desktop platform into a cloud-native web application. You will work across the full stack, collaborating with stakeholders to deliver scalable software.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience.
• 4+ years of professional software development experience.
• Strong experience with Python development.
• Experience with object-oriented programming languages such as Java or C#.
• Experience building modern web applications using HTML5, CSS, JavaScript/TypeScript, Angular, React.
• Experience designing and consuming REST APIs.
• Experience working with distributed application architectures.
• Familiarity with cloud-based application development (AWS or similar).
• Experience working in Agile environments and source control systems.

Overview

An innovative engineering team is seeking a Software Engineer to help design, develop, and modernize applications that support analytics, research, decision-making, and operational workflows. This role will play a key part in transforming a legacy desktop-based platform into a modern cloud-native web application. The ideal candidate enjoys building high-quality software, collaborating with stakeholders, and working across the full application stack to deliver scalable, user-friendly solutions.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Newport Beach, CA.

Pay And Benefits

The pay range for this position is $75.00 - $100.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
