Job summary

Randstad Digital is seeking a Junior Data Engineer / Software Engineer to support data pipelines, ETL processes, and cloud-based solutions. The role involves API integrations (REST/GraphQL), reporting platforms, and collaboration with data engineers, software engineers, and business stakeholders.

The candidate should be proficient in Python, SQL, and Java, with experience in AWS/Azure, SSIS, Tableau, and Power BI.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 0–2 years of experience in data/ software engineering or related field.
• Proficiency in Python, SQL, and Java.
• Foundational knowledge of AWS and cloud-based data engineering.
• Familiarity with relational databases (tables, keys, joins, indexes).
• Basic understanding of ETL/ELT and data pipelines.
• Knowledge of REST APIs and web-service integration.
• Awareness of GraphQL concepts and API integration.
• Familiarity with testing, debugging, and version control.
• Familiarity with Git and GitHub.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain data pipelines, ETL/ELT processes using Python, SQL, AWS, Azure, SSIS.
• Extract, transform, validate, and load data across systems.
• Support cloud data engineering using AWS services (S3, Glue, Lambda, Redshift, RDS).
• Write and optimize SQL queries, procedures, and views.
• Support data modeling, warehousing, and dimensional models.
• Develop and maintain software services using Java and Python.
• Develop and consume REST and GraphQL APIs; handle auth, JSON, error handling.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to deliver reliable data solutions.
• Maintain reports/dashboards with Tableau and Power BI.
• Use Git and GitHub for version control and collaboration.
